It is not the quantity of the links, it is the variety and more importantly quality links that count to rank.

A simple backlinks could be enough to make you rankare the keyword in question, if we talk about the amount of backlinks that can be considered a basic goal, for my experience 2k reference domains with about 1/2 million backlinks could complete your goal. the quality is what counts is useless to have many backlinks if the quality is low, and preferable to have a few but high quality, it is precisely this score that will guarantee you the rank on google.

In my opinion, there is no particular number. For better search ranking we need quality backlinks from good domain authority websites.
