Can I sell a domain on my own landing page?

I think some people here sell their domain on their own landing pages. But how does the process work? I mean I may need a landing page, right?
Then a middleman like escrow...
But of course I know I will miss the exposure of other marketplaces but I want to see my options.
Any idea?

Why would you want to do that instead of using a marketplace that already has buyers? You would need to drive all the traffic yourself, which makes it much harder

Both options can work. If you have a well know domain name with direct hits, landing page can work, otherwise use Domain Marketplace

like others have said, selling a domain on a marketplace is the best option. a stall in a busy market will always make more money than a standalone shop in the middle of nowhere
