Can I sell a domain on my own landing page?

I think some people here sell their domain on their own landing pages. But how does the process work? I mean I may need a landing page, right?
Then a middleman like escrow...
But of course I know I will miss the exposure of other marketplaces but I want to see my options.
Any idea?

Yes, you can sell a domain directly through your own landing page. Many domain owners choose this route to avoid marketplace fees and retain full control over the sales process.

Both options can work. If you have a well know domain name with direct hits, landing page can work, otherwise use Domain Marketplace

like others have said, selling a domain on a marketplace is the best option. a stall in a busy market will always make more money than a standalone shop in the middle of nowhere

Karma, the “stall in a busy market,” really puts it into perspective. That said, I guess it depends on the seller’s goals too. Some might prefer fewer fees or more control over the negotiation, even if it means slower traffic. Maybe a mix of both could work, like using a landing page and listing on a marketplace for exposure?

First, point your domain at a tiny landing page, just a headline (“This domain is for sale”), a price (or “make an offer”), and a contact form or “Buy Now” button. You can whip that up in plain HTML, a one‑page WordPress theme, even a quick site‑builder.

When someone bites, send them to an escrow service (Escrow.com, Payoneer Escrow, Dan.com’s escrow, whatever you trust). They pay into escrow, you initiate the domain transfer (via your registrar’s push or an EPP code), and once the buyer confirms receipt, the escrow service releases the funds to you.

Sure, you’ll miss out on the organic traffic marketplaces bring but you keep total control over branding, messaging, and the whole experience. If you want a middle ground, check out platforms like Dan.com or Efty: they host your for‑sale page, handle escrow/payments, and even syndicate your listing to partner sites. Then it’s just up to you to drive visitors, SEO, social, ads and you’re good to go.
